Marcus Pearson, RNFA

Marcus Pearson, RNFA, grew up in a small town along the Columbia River in Oregon, where a high school anatomy class first sparked his interest in healthcare and ultimately led him to pursue nursing at the University of Portland.

Marcus began his operating room career in 2015 as a circulating and scrub registered nurse. Over the next several years, he worked as a travel nurse across Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Utah, Colorado, Georgia, and Hawaii, gaining broad experience in a variety of surgical settings. After starting a family, Marcus and his wife chose to settle in Alaska, where they are raising their two young boys.

Driven by a lifelong interest in anatomy and a desire to continue growing in surgical care, Marcus pursued first assisting as the next step in his career. He completed his RNFA training through Delaware County Community College in December 2025 and continues to expand his skills and knowledge across multiple surgical specialties. In addition to his RNFA work, Marcus continues to serve as a full-time operating room RN.

Outside of the operating room, Marcus enjoys backpacking, soccer, reading, Dungeons & Dragons, Pokémon, and spending time with his wife, two sons, and their beloved dog. He is excited to continue growing in his role as an RN First Assist and looks forward to the opportunities ahead.
